Referral Fees
We are pleased to offer our customers a range of additional services to help them with moving home. None of these services are obligatory and you are free to use service providers of your choice. If you decide to use our services, please be assured that this will not increase the fees you pay to our service providers, which remain as quoted directly to you.
If you choose to use a service provider recommended by Arun Estates, we will receive the following referral fees, which are all subject to the addition of VAT at the prevailing rate:
For Conveyancing Services through Martin Tolhurst Solicitors for Wards and Fine & Country Kent, we receive a fee of four hundred and sixty pounds per case. For Conveyancing Services through Move With Us for Cubitt & West, Douglas Allen, Fine & Country Loughton, Pittis and Fine & Country Cowes, we receive an average fee of four hundred and fourteen pounds per case on completion of the sale. For Conveyancing Services through Taylor Rose MW for Arun Land & New Homes, we receive a fee dependant on the sale price, with an average of three hundred and sixty five pounds. For Medway Law for I Am Sold transactions, we receive fees on completion which fluctuate according to the sale price but average around four hundred pounds.
For referring customers to Homewise, we receive a fee which varies between sixty pounds for sellers, one thousand pounds for buyers and 50% of the Homewise fee for equity release referrals.
Arun Estates receive 20% of survey fees for referring customers who go on to use Connells surveying service and individual staff receive £25 per referral. We may also receive a fee for recommending customers to local surveyors however this varies widely and cannot be estimated in advance.
Mortgage Matters Direct (MMD) receive procuration fees from mortgage lenders and commission from insurance companies in the event of a successful transaction. As the amounts involved vary according to the lender and mortgage case, MMD customers will receive confirmation of the referral fee upon instruction and confirmation of the amount as soon as this is known. The average fee is around 0.45% of the loan and a list of lenders with whom we have fee arrangements is available on request. For insurance referrals to Uinsure we receive 27% of the policy premium for home insurance and landlord’s insurance and 20% of the policy premium for non-standard home insurance and specialist insurance.
If you decide to rent a property or buy a property to let, our Lettings department receives fees for recommending tenancy insurance products and utilities services to landlords and tenants. This includes average fees for each confirmed policy to Let Alliance as follows; forty seven pounds and fifty eight pence for policies agreed by landlords and paid in advance for one year and two pounds and sixty eight pence per month for policies confirmed by tenants for the length of the policy. We receive forty three pounds for buildings and contents insurance and twenty percent of the premium for liability and contents policies.
For No Deposit Plans we receive a fee of approximately sixty pounds from Flatfair Ltd. Some maintenance contractors offer referral fees of between ten and twelve percent of the cost of works carried out. We offer a utility switching service for Lettings via Tili and can receive fees of between five and thirty five pounds from Ovo energy, depending on the services taken. We receive on average fifty pounds from Let Alliance for each full communications package taken up.
